Glue
02:43
|

Hey you with the lonely eyes over there.
Hey you with the broken heart come here.
I’m talking to you.
Can you hear me? I’m talking to you.
Yeah! I’m talkin to you.
Might not think that you need me, but baby you do.
Because your broken heart won’t fix itself,
it needs some glue.
Somebody bring us some drinks over here.
I’ll have a shot, and this guy, well, he’ll have a beer.
We’re gonna sit here.
Yeah, we’re gonna drink up ‘til everything’s clear.
Oh, we’re gonna sit here.
Gonna sit here ‘til your sad eyes disappear.
Oh, because your broken heart won’t heal,
baby, until you get rid of that fear.

Learn to Live
04:06
|
|||
on a long road
fifteen miles from the right turn
the wind blows
all the way back to the sea
wIthout a care
heading toward where I belong
the way is clear
nothing stands in front of me
Learn to Jump
Learn to Fly
Learn to Live
when your life is filled
with the crumbs of yesterday
and the sky above
is a mess of puzzle pieces
breathe it in
and be thankful, all, for what you have
and walk on down
the road that you will take

Human Kind
05:29
|
|||
We might not be a perfect or shining example.
We might run when the going gets too tough.
But inside us there burns this pure ambition.
It keeps us moving, it keeps us looking up.
If this works out,
we’ll all be considered
humankind.
History tells us that we were on the good side.
What would we think if we were born on the bad?
We would see that our judgement rests on perspective.
I think it’s time to feel therefore I am.
There were times when it didn’t work out.
There were times when it all went wrong.
Those were the days when we learned
--we learned how to be.
You will see on the day when you get your freedom.
All at once, you will finally know your soul.
Things and stuff will no longer hold much meaning.
It’s the people around you who make you whole.

Chase
04:23
|
|||
It’s been a long time since known you,
been a long since I’ve shown,
been a long time since I’ve cared.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you.
Been a long time,
but you know that it hasn’t been long enough
It’s a circle.
Can’t you see that I chase you and you chase me?
Round and round the bottle spins,
when it stops...well, no one wins.
On and on we play this game;
I thought it had a different name.
You know I’m ready to give in,
because I don’t want to play with you.
I have never been so happy.
Baby, since I left you, life is fantastic
Now you stand there looking sorry,
I don’t care because you really deserve this.

Thinking About You
04:10
|
|||
It was the wrong way to feel,
because it broke every rule.
It was something I couldn’t allow.
And since it was wrong,
I closed my heart.
So, this is the end.
My mind gets confused.
For years, I’ve been thinking about you.
Got so bad that I had to go away.
So, time moved on,
about a year or two.
Suddenly you are back in my life.
But I lacked the strength
to tell you goodbye
Why should I sit here for you?
You know, I didn’t ask you to come here.
I didn’t ask you to be my hero.
Oh, then, baby you are here.

You know you’ll always be feeling down like this,
silly man, you need to change.
So, you looked at me all sad-faced and dog-eyed
and said, “Aren’t you afraid I won’t feel the same?”
There can be no real reconciliation if you refuse to change.
You’re afraid that you’ll make a mistake if you dare to change.
It reminds you you’re out of time.
It reminds you you’re getting old.
It reminds you you’re gonna die.
It reminds you…
The king and the monkey ruled from the throne on high.
You know, they refused to change.
Then a few years later they died
--hatchet right into the brain.
See, the people wanted a change.
It’ll make you turn around.
It’ll make you fall down on your knees.
It’ll make you smile wide.
Your change can be such a good surprise.
Learn the lesson of the viking who was scared
to sail on the deep blue sea.
He never left home, now he’s just a slave to his
anxiety.
Change. It’s coming.

Mr. Whistler is knocking;
he wants you to let him in.
Oh, but, he’s been prowling around
sniffing out your darkest sin,
breathing in your darkest sin.
Visiting you unaware, he takes you in;
he doesn’t care; he doesn’t even wipe his dirty shoes.
Just ignore the rapping knock, and lock the door, and stop the clock,
and don’t you dare make any sudden moves.
He’s a predator of love, he’ll lay you down and lift you up,
and make you think that maybe he’s the one.
But, girl, he’ll lie to you. (He lies.)
Mr. Whistler is danger,
though,he’ll fool you with his charm.
With bloody hands he will love you,
make you forget just who you are.
Don’t be fooled by the Whistler;
ignore his siren’s call.
Because when he digs his fingers in
he’ll squeeze you until you’re raw;
and he’ll toss you when he’s done.
Girl, don’t love the Whistler.
He’ll leave you when he’s done.
Hun, if you love the whistler,
you’re game, it won’t be won.

Wrapped in darkness
--a fitting mantle for treachery--
waiting on the edge of a sycophantic fantasy.
Lightning spiders over heads and into eyes
--shivering electricity.
I
Impatience when you don’t know what you want,
uncertainty when you can’t believe what you’ve become,
and the clock in the distance endlessly ticking time
and the crow cries near.
Vague poetics contrived to manipulate mentation,
designed to provide no concrete resolution.
Liars and killers of the words we articulare.
Leading to your incapacity to understand.
Oh, the weapons that men use to deliberate.
A threatening snowfall meant to lock you away
in an image that’s processed and overly defined,
where the meaning flows endlessly.
Simplicity shines through
when you can understand that the
growling tempest blows an empty wind.

I will never trust you again in all of my life.
Your betrayal...you stuck it in and you turned it like a knife.
But, you get right down to it, you know that it would’ve never have worked.
Because you’re a stupid bastard and let’s not forget that you’re a jerk.
Never thought I’d hate someone like I hate him,
but you’ve proven me wrong again.
(Proven her wrong again.)
Never thought I’d let someone hurt me like he did,
but you’ve proven me wrong my old friend.
(Old friend)
At least when he hit me I saw it coming.
You can go to HELL.
They say karma’s a bitch and you know that I never believed.
It took someone like you to string me up from that tree.
Oh, Kevin, John, Jason, Tom, Dick, Harry, all of you…
You’ll be happy to know I paid today when my karma came due.
Just go straight to hell
and when you get there just don’t turn around until you’re burning…
No, you know what,
don’t even turn around then.
Just dive right into that fire, because, you know what,
you don’t deserve anything less.
And I hope you’re happy.
(You can go to hell.)
